This position is part of a high-impact research project funded by the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), focusing on discovering anti-tuberculosis treatments from marine sources.

- Project Title: Exploiting the potential of microbial metabolites of marine origin for inhibitory activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
- Principal Investigator (PI): Dr. Nitin Pal Kalia.
- Objective: The study aims to screen and isolate unique metabolites from marine microbes to combat multi-drug resistant tuberculosis.
Position & Compensation
- Post Name: Junior Research Fellow (JRF).
- Monthly Fellowship: ₹37,000 + 27% HRA = ₹46,990 Total.
- Tenure: Contractual, as per project guidelines.
Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or Microbiology.
- Experience: Relevant laboratory experience is mandatory.
- Desirable Skills: * Practical knowledge of Microbiology and Molecular Biology.
- Expertise in In vitro assay development (testing compounds against bacteria).
- Experience with In vivo experimentation (animal models).
- Age Limit: Maximum 28 years.
