The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Hyderabad, is inviting applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position. This role is part of a high-impact research project funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), focusing on neurosurgical interventions for psychiatric disorders.
Project Details
- Project Title: Impact of STN and ALIC Deep Brain Stimulation on cognitive improvement in obsessive-compulsive disorder model.
- Principal Investigator: Dr. Manoj P. Dandekar.
- Department: Pharmacology and Toxicology.
- Duration: 1 year (as per DST norms).
Eligibility & Compensation
- Essential Qualification: Post-Graduate degree in Basic Science or a Professional Course (as per DST OM dated 30.01.2019).
- Desirable: * M.Pharm / M.S. Pharm with a specialization in Pharmacology is preferred.
- Mandatory: Must have qualified in at least one national exam: GPAT, GATE, CSIR, UGC, or ICMR.
- Technical Expertise: Preference for candidates with experience in:
- In-vivo rodent studies and neurobehavioral assessments.
- Stereotaxic surgery.
- Molecular techniques: RT-PCR, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry.
- Salary: ₹31,000 per month + HRA (as per norms).
