The Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS)—a premier tertiary care, super-specialty hospital located in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi—has announced recruitment opportunities for a prestigious Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) funded project. Established in 2009 by the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, ILBS focuses primarily on liver and biliary care, achieving high expertise in treating related diseases.
Project Overview and Scope
The temporary positions are tied to the ICMR-funded research project titled “Development of novel therapeutic device and pharmacological strategies to overcome Time-Dependent Accumulation of Oxidized/ modified Albumin in Alcohol-Related Liver Disease,” spearheaded by Dr. Jaswinder Singh Maras. The engagement period extends from the date of appointment up to the duration of the project (up to 3 years).
Available Positions, Qualifications, and Remuneration
- Project Research Scientist-III (01 Post)
- Age Limit: Maximum 45 years.
- Remuneration: Rs. 78,000 + 30% HRA = Rs. 1,01,400/- per month.
- Qualifications: Post Graduate Degree (including integrated PG degrees) with five years of post-qualification experience, or a Ph.D. plus two years of post-qualification experience. For Engineering/IT/CS fields, a four-year graduate degree with five years of experience, a PG degree with three years of experience, or a Ph.D. is required.
- Project Research Scientist-II (01 Post)
- Age Limit: Maximum 40 years.
- Remuneration: Rs. 67,000 + 30% HRA = Rs. 87,100/- per month.
- Qualifications: Post Graduate Degree (including integrated PG degrees) with three years of post-qualification experience, or a Ph.D. For Engineering/IT/CS, a four-year graduate degree with three years of post-qualification experience is required.
- Project Technical Support-III (02 Posts)
- Age Limit: Maximum 35 years.
- Remuneration: Rs. 28,000 + 30% HRA = Rs. 36,400/- per month.
- Qualifications: Graduation with three years of experience plus a Post-graduation in a relevant field, with knowledge in peptide synthesis and mass spectrometry.
Preferred Expertise and Research Preferences
Candidates possessing specific expertise will be given preference during selection:
- Knowledge in Alcohol-Related Liver Disease (ALD), albumin modifications (HNA1/HNA2), proteomics/multi-omics, mass spectrometry, molecular biology, and animal/cellular models.
- Experience in designing and overseeing experiments related to animal models, data integration, and interpretation from multi-omics platforms.
- Competence in preparing mass spectrometry samples, data analysis, manuscript writing, group leadership, and lab management.
