CSIR-IICT is a multi-disciplinary institution renowned for its core strengths spanning organic chemistry (drugs, pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals), inorganic and physical chemistry, catalysis, lipid science, polymers, functional materials, chemical biology, and environmental engineering. These 51 openings are sponsored under various ongoing research projects and will be filled purely on a temporary basis via walk-in interviews.

Available Roles and Qualifications

The positions span multiple designations catering to diverse educational backgrounds across Science and Engineering fields:

Project Associate-I & II (PAT-I / PAT-II): Open to candidates possessing a Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Sciences, Organic Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry, M.Pharma, or B.Tech/M.Tech in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, and allied streams.
Senior Project Associate (Senior-PAT): Requires higher-level qualifications such as Master’s degrees or B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech streams accompanied by designated years of R&D experience, or a Ph.D. in relevant disciplines.
Project Assistant / Principal Project Associate: Targeted towards B.Sc., Diploma holders, and experienced postgraduates/Ph.D. holders for advanced technological and administrative support roles.

Note: Monthly emoluments range from $\text{₹}20,000$ to $\text{₹}49,000$ plus House Rent Allowance (HRA) depending on the specific post code, project guidelines, and qualification standards (such as valid NET/GATE scores).

Walk-in Interview Schedule and Process

Candidates fulfilling the required age limits (35 years for Project Associates/Assistants and up to 40 years for Senior Project Associates, with standard relaxations for reserved categories) must appear for the walk-in interviews.

Registration Time: 08:30 AM to 09:30 AM on the respective interview days (candidates reporting after 09:30 AM will not be permitted to register).
