DBT-Sponsored Research Associate Fellowship at Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU)

Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU), Gandhinagar, invites applications from qualified candidates for the contractual post of Research Associate-I (RA-I). The position is part of a research initiative entitled “FCO-Compliant Production Framework for Seaweed Biostimulants: Analytical Validation, Omics Integration, and Shelf-Life Enhancement for Industry Competitiveness,” funded by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.

The engagement is purely temporary and co-terminus with the duration of the project.

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. / MD / MS) in Science, Engineering, Technology, or Pharmacy from a recognized University or equivalent.OR
- 3 years of continuous research, design/development, or teaching experience following an M.Sc / MVSc / M.Pharm / M.E. / M.Tech degree, alongside at least one research publication in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal (per DST guidelines).
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
- Demonstrable research background in plant protein extraction, quantification, and quality assessment.
- Hands-on expertise in proteome profiling using Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) and data interpretation.
- Prior research publications showcasing plant protein extraction or proteomic workflows.
- High proficiency in scientific manuscript drafting, data presentation, and general laboratory management.
