INST Mohali Invites Applications for Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical) Under ICMR Project: Monthly Fellowship up to ₹67,000 + HRA

The Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali—an autonomous research institute under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India—has issued an official recruitment notification inviting applications from eligible, motivated, and research-oriented candidates for the contractual post of Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical).
The selected candidate will work on a research project titled “Noninvasive and in situ forming peptide-polymer hydrogel containing CPP decorated nanoparticles/photoresponsive agents with crystallin aggregates disaggregating propensity for potential cataract therapy,” funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Government of India, under the supervision of Principal Investigator Dr. Jiban Jyoti Panda (Scientist-E).

Remuneration & Benefits
- Fellowship: ₹67,000/- per month + applicable HRA as per Government of India / ICMR guidelines.
Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Educational Qualifications:
- Post Graduate Degree (including integrated master’s degrees) in Science, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmacy, Bioinformatics, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, or Microbiology, along with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant post-qualification experience.
- OR
- Ph.D. degree in Engineering or Technology.
- Desirable Experience: 1 to 2 years of active research and development (R&D) experience in an industrial/academic institution or recognized science and technology organization.
- Age Limit: Candidates must not exceed 40 years of age as on October 4, 2026. Age relaxations for SC, ST, OBC, women, and other reserved categories are applicable in accordance with Government of India regulations.
