DST-Funded Research Fellowship 2026: NIPER Hyderabad Invites Applications for JRF and RA-1 Positions in Medicinal Chemistry

The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Hyderabad, has announced an official recruitment advertisement for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Research Associate (RA-1) positions under a Department of Science and Technology (DST) funded project.
- Project Title: “Creation of Nodal Centers for the Production of Imported APIs, KSMs, and Intermediates to Achieve Self-sufficiency in the Healthcare Sector” under the DST Cluster Scheme.
- Principal Investigator (PI): Prof. Srinivas Nanduri, Department of Chemical Sciences, NIPER-Hyderabad.
- Funding Agency: Department of Science and Technology (DST), under project reference DST/TDT/TC/KSM/2022/02 (G).
- Duration: The project tenure is initially for one year, extendable based on performance and co-terminus with the project.
Position Details & Eligibility
1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – 1 Post
- Essential Qualifications: M.S., M.Pharm, M.Tech, or M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Process Chemistry, or Medicinal Chemistry from a recognized university or equivalent. Preference is given to candidates with active research experience in organic synthesis, purification techniques, and spectral characterization.
- Salary & Stipend:
- Rs. 37,000 + 27% HRA for scholars qualified through national eligibility tests (GPAT, GATE, CSIR, UGC, ICMR, CSIR-UGC-NET including lectureship/Assistant Professorship) or national-level examinations conducted by Central Government departments/agencies/institutions.
- Rs. 31,000 + 27% HRA for other candidates.
2. Research Associate – 1 (RA-1) – 1 Post
- Essential Qualifications: Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Science or Pharma with a specialization in Organic Synthesis, Medicinal Chemistry, Process Development, Semi-synthesis, or Natural Products from a recognized university or equivalent. Candidates who have officially submitted their thesis are also eligible.
- Salary & Stipend: Rs. 58,000 + 27% HRA.
