Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Opening at NIPER-Ahmedabad Under ANRF-Funded Project

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the engagement of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under an Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF)-funded research project in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Ahmedabad.

Position Title: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Project Title: Investigating the therapeutic relevance of IVIG for mitigating compromised immunity in offspring following stroke in pregnancy
Project Code: ANRF/ARG/2025/004295/LS
Principal Investigator (PI): Dr. Pallab Bhattacharya, Professor, Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology
Tenure: Initially for 1 year; extendable up to an additional 2 years based on performance and fund availability (2 years as JRF followed by 1 year as SRF).
Nature of Post: Purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Fellowship / Monthly Emoluments

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications:
- M.Sc. / M.Tech. / M.Pharm. / M.S. (Pharm.) or equivalent postgraduate degree in:
  - Life Sciences
  - Biotechnology
  - Biochemistry
  - Neuroscience
  - Pharmacology
  - Allied Biomedical Sciences
- Minimum aggregate marks: 60% or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale for General category.
- Relaxation: 5% marks (or 0.5 CGPA) relaxation for SC/ST/PwD applicants.
Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as on the last date of application. Standard age relaxations apply for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Women candidates as per Govt. of India / ANRF guidelines.
Desired Experience: Prior hands-on research expertise in animal handling/experimentation, immunology, molecular biology, flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry (IHC), and related biomedical laboratory techniques.
