
The Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP) is an Indian plant research laboratory under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), originally established as the Central Indian Medicinal Plants Organisation (CIMPO) in 1959. CIMAP focuses on multidisciplinary research in biological and chemical sciences while providing technologies and services to farmers and entrepreneurs in medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs). An opportunity has opened for a Project Associate-II (PAT-II) position at the CSIR-CIMAP Research Centre in Bengaluru.
Position Details & Requirements
- Post: Project Associate-II (PAT-II) – 1 vacancy
- Maximum Age Limit: 35 years (relaxable as per Government of India rules)
- Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in Botany or Biotechnology from a recognized university or equivalent, with 2 years of relevant experience in research and development in industrial, academic, or research institutions.
- Desirable Qualifications: Working experience in gene cloning, protein expression, yeast engineering, fermentation, and analytical techniques such as GC or GC-MS.
- Monthly Emoluments:
- Rs. 35,000/- plus HRA for NET/GATE/LS qualified candidates.
- Rs. 28,000/- plus HRA for Non-NET/GATE/LS candidates.
