Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) is recognized as one of the top medical institutions in the country, having trained over 1,000 medical graduates and postgraduates. It has also been designated as a nodal center for the National Organ Procurement and Transplant Network program and a program study centre for dialysis training. Applications have been invited for research positions under the ICMR-funded project titled “Prospective Plasma Virome Profiling by NGS for Early Prediction of Viral Reactivation and Graft Dysfunction in Renal Transplant Recipients,” led by Principal Investigator Dr. Atul Garg in the Department of Microbiology at SGPGIMS, Lucknow.
Position Details & Requirements
1. Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)
- Number of Posts: 01 (One)
- Salary: ₹56,000.00 + HRA @ 20% per month
- Essential Qualification: Post Graduate degree in life sciences including integrated courses.
- Desirable Qualifications: Working experience in NGS, Bioinformatics, and Computational biology; Ph.D. in Microbiology, Virology, or Biotechnology; Additional post-doctoral research or training experience in project-related work.
2. Project Technical Support-III
- Number of Posts: 01 (One)
- Salary: ₹28,000.00 + HRA @ 20% per month
- Essential Qualification: Three-year B.Sc. in life sciences or B.Sc. (MLT) from a recognized university with 3 years of post-qualification experience; OR a Master’s degree in life sciences or M.Sc. (MLT).
- Desirable Qualifications: Work experience in Virology or Molecular Biology laboratories in medical institutes; knowledge of computer applications.
