BRIC-ILS PhD Admission 2026: 25 JRF Vacancies in Bhubaneswar

The Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council – Institute of Life Sciences (BRIC-ILS), Bhubaneswar, has officially opened applications for its prestigious PhD program. This year, the institute is offering 25 Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions across diverse thematic areas including Cancer Biology, Infectious Disease, and Plant Biotechnology.

Eligibility Criteria

• Academic: * Track-I: Master’s or 4-year Bachelor’s degree in any Science/Tech branch with at least 55% marks.
  • Track-II: MBBS, B.Tech/B.E. (Non-Bio), or B.Pharm with at least 55% marks.
• National Fellowship: * Candidates must hold a valid 5-year fellowship (CSIR/UGC-JRF, DBT-JRF, ICMR-JRF, DST-INSPIRE, etc.).
  • Track-II candidates must have qualified GATE or GPAT for potential institutional funding.
• Age Limit: Below 28 years as of 10th May 2026 (Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/PWD/Female; 3 years for OBC-NCL).

Selection Procedure (3-Tier)

1. Screening: Shortlisting based on academic merit and fellowship validity.
2. Round 1 (Online): Preliminary technical interview (19th & 20th May).
3. Final Round (Offline): In-person interview and PI interaction at BRIC-ILS (16th–18th June).
