Project Fellow Recruitment 2026: UGC-DAE CSR Research Project at H.N.B. Garhwal Central University

Applications are invited from eligible and motivated candidates for one (01) purely temporary post of Project Fellow under a major research project funded by the UGC-DAE Consortium for Scientific Research (CSR), Indore Centre, hosted at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna (HNB) Garhwal University (A Central University), Srinagar (Garhwal), Uttarakhand.

Project Overview

Project Title: Surface modified cyclodextrin nanoparticles for targeting active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs): Studying changes in various properties, including crystallinity, using XRD and ADXRD (BL-12, Indus-2) for possible therapeutic usage
Funding Agency: UGC-DAE Consortium for Scientific Research (CSR), Indore
Host Department / Institution: Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chauras Campus, H.N.B. Garhwal University, Srinagar (Garhwal)
Principal Investigator (PI): Dr. Ajay Semalty
Tenure: Initially for 1 year (extendable up to 3 years or till the completion of the project).
Nature of Appointment: Purely temporary and co-terminus with the project scheme.

Positions, Remuneration & Eligibility Norms

Candidates will be categorized into Project Fellow levels as per UGC-DAE CSR fellowship guidelines:

Fellowship Category	Monthly Emoluments	Essential Qualifications & Criteria
CRS Project Fellow (Junior)-I	₹14,000/- + HRA	• M.Sc. in concerned Science subject (completed not earlier than 3 years) with minimum 55% marks, OR • M.Pharm. / M.E. / M.Tech. (Pharma/Engineering) with 1st Class (completed not earlier than 3 years).
CRS Project Fellow (Junior)-II	₹31,000/- + HRA	• Essential qualifications same as Junior-I, PLUS • Valid score/qualification in GPAT / GATE / NET-JRF / Lectureship (LS) / CSIR-UGC NET / JEST, AND • Ph.D. registration under the supervision of the PI at the affiliated university.
CRS Project Fellow (Senior)-I	₹16,000/- + HRA	Completion of 2 years as Junior-I + at least 1 research paper in a reputed SCI journal + expert committee review.
CRS Project Fellow (Senior)-II	₹35,000/- + HRA	Completion of 2 years as Junior-II + at least 1 research paper in a reputed SCI journal + expert committee review.

General Preferred Profile: Candidates with a consistent academic record, relevant research experience in nanotechnology/cyclodextrin formulations, scientific publications, and technical report-writing skills will be given preference.
