GSK, a global biopharma company, is looking for a SERM Senior Scientist to join its team in Bengaluru. The role is a key position within the Safety Evaluation and Risk Management (SERM) department, focused on ensuring the safety of GSK’s products.
Role and Responsibilities
The Senior Scientist will be responsible for a range of pharmacovigilance activities, including:
- Safety Monitoring: Conducting ongoing safety monitoring and evaluation for assigned products, including signal detection and risk assessment.
- Data Analysis: Reviewing and analyzing individual case safety reports (ICSRs) and scientific literature to identify potential safety signals.
- Regulatory Submissions: Drafting and contributing to crucial regulatory documents, such as periodic safety reports and risk management plans.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with various teams to address safety-related questions and ensure compliance with global regulatory standards.
- Mentorship: Providing guidance and mentorship to junior colleagues and contributing to process improvement initiatives within the safety team.
Candidate Profile
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field is required. An advanced degree, such as a Master’s, Ph.D., or Pharm.D., is preferred.
- Experience: Candidates should have experience in pharmacovigilance, safety surveillance, or drug development.
- Skills: The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have knowledge of global regulatory requirements and safety data management. Experience in drafting aggregate safety documents and risk management plans is also desirable.
