Pharm'Up 
The Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali, is seeking a Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) for an ICMR-funded research project. This is a temporary, contract-based opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a background in computational sciences.
Position Details
- Post: Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)
- Project Title: “Netrin-1 Centric Precision Therapy for Cervical Cancer Treatment by Integrating Computer Modelling, Experimental Methods, and Nanoformulation with Protein-ligand Interactions.”
- Nature of Work: The project involves computational chemistry/biochemistry, biophysics, and bioinformatics.
- Fellowship: A monthly fellowship of Rs. 56,000/- + 20% HRA.
- Age Limit: Not to exceed 35 years as of September 30, 2025. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government rules.
- Duration: The initial contract is for one year, with the possibility of extension up to three years based on performance and fund availability.
Qualifications & Experience
- Essential Qualification: A first-class postgraduate degree (including integrated PG degrees) in fields such as Computational Chemistry, Biology, (bio)Physics, BioSciences, Chemical Biology, or Bioinformatics.
- Desirable Experience: Candidates with research interest or experience in Computational Biology/Chemistry and Bioinformatics, Molecular Dynamics Simulations, programming knowledge in Python, and experience in handling big data and Density Functional Theory (DFT) are highly preferred.
