Job Overview: Focus on Formulation and Innovation
The incumbent will support the formulation development team, focusing on the development of new and innovative cosmetics and commodity products. The role requires a strong blend of scientific expertise, a mindset for innovation, and practical knowledge of regulatory and quality standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Formulation Expertise: Driving the development of versatile dosage forms in Skin Care cosmetics (Creams, Gels, Lotions, Face Washes) and FMCG commodity products (specifically in the disinfectant segment).
- Raw Material & Polymer Science: Maintaining a thorough knowledge of raw material chemistry and their function, as well as an understanding of polymer science and the rheological behaviour (flow properties) of thickening agents.
- Innovation & Differentiation: Possessing an innovation mindset to create differentiated, cost-effective product matrix with unique and supported claims.
- Quality & Compliance: Adhering to basic GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and good documentation practices. Must have a thorough understanding of Cosmetic regulations.
- Stability & Packaging: Ensuring a complete understanding of packaging and stability requirements for cosmetic products.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborating effectively with both internal (Marketing, Quality, Analytical, Regulatory, etc.) and external stakeholders (Raw Material Vendors, Manufacturing Units) to meet project timelines.
- Problem-Solving: Utilizing critical thinking, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills to overcome formulation and process challenges.
This role is key to expanding Piramal Consumer Healthcare’s successful portfolio in the fast-growing Indian self-care market.
