The Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), an autonomous research institution under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), is inviting applications for the contractual position of Project Manager in its New Chemistry Unit in Bengaluru.
Position & Remuneration Details
- Post: Project Manager
- Remuneration (Consolidated): ₹ 1,25,000/- per month
- Period of Engagement: Initially for a period of one year, extendable up to a maximum of five years, based on requirement and performance review.
- Age Limit: Preferably between 45 – 50 years as of the last date of application receipt.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Essential Qualification: Ph.D. Degree in Chemistry.
- Essential Experience: Candidate must have at least 15 years of experience with scientific activities and services in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations.
- Preferred Experience:
- Experience in laboratory teaching for Integrated PhD / Post-graduate students in a reputed academic or research institution.
- Prior experience in managing academic program activities, including admissions, course/timetable coordination, instructional material preparation, overseeing examinations, and providing student support services (e.g., career guidance and mentoring).
Job Description
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Conduct the laboratory courses for the Integrated PhD / Post-graduate degree programs in the New Chemistry Unit.
- Coordinate the student-related academic activities of the Unit.
