Core Functional Roles
1. Analyst (Method Development & Validation)
- Techniques: Expertise in developing rugged bioanalytical methods using SPE (Solid Phase Extraction) and LLE (Liquid-Liquid Extraction).
- Instrumentation: Independent handling of LC-MS/MS and HPLC for drug substance quantitation.
- Studies: Conducting sample analysis for BA/BE (Bioavailability/Bioequivalence) studies with high accuracy.
- Compliance: Maintaining strict adherence to GDP (Good Documentation Practices) and GLP (Good Laboratory Practices).
2. Quality Control (Compliance & Review)
- Checks: Performing QC checks for method validation and BA/BE study data.
- Regulatory: Addressing observations from Quality Assurance (QA) and Regulatory Affairs with appropriate CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action).
- Audit Readiness: Evaluating laboratory compliance levels at regular intervals to ensure “audit-ready” status.
3. Custodian (Inventory & Calibration)
- Management: Maintaining the inventory of biological samples, matrices, and analytical standards with meticulous documentation.
- Monitoring: Ensuring precise temperature records for freezers and refrigerators.
- Calibration: Performing daily instrument verification and coordinating with external parties for routine calibrations.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven track record in a bioanalytical R&D environment.
- Thorough understanding of current global regulatory requirements (FDA, EMA, etc.).
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills for operational challenges.
