DRDO-DRL Tezpur Recruitment 2026: JRF & Research Associate Positions

The Defence Research Laboratory (DRL), a premier unit of the DRDO located in Tezpur, Assam, has announced a walk-in interview for young researchers. This is a significant opportunity for Pharma, Chemistry, and Life Sciences graduates to contribute to defense-related R&D projects.

Vacancy Details

Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Pharma (05 Posts): M.Pharm / M.S. (Pharm) / M.Tech (Pharm) in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Toxicology, or Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Must have GPAT/GATE/NET.
Life Sciences (02 Posts): M.Sc / M.Tech / MVSc in Zoology, Veterinary Parasitology, Microbiology, Biotech, or Life Sciences with NET.
Chemistry (01 Post): M.Sc / M.Tech in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, or Chemical Sciences with NET/GATE.
Environmental Science (01 Post): M.Sc / M.Tech in Environmental Science, Soil Science, or Chemistry with NET.

2. Research Associate (RA)

Life Sciences/Biotech (02 Posts): Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Microbiology, or Life Sciences. (Desirable: NGS data analysis).
Chemistry/Polymer Science (03 Posts): Ph.D. in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Textile Chemistry, or Chemical Sciences.
Horticulture (01 Post): Ph.D. in Horticulture. (Desirable: Post-harvest technology).

Selection Process & Interview Dates

Selection will be based on a Walk-in-Interview held at DRL, DRDO, Solmara Military Station, Dekargaon, Tezpur, Assam.
