The National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), Bangalore, is inviting applications for a Project Associate to join its Sanger Sequencing Facility. This is a fixed-term position initially for one year, with the possibility of annual renewal based on performance.

Essential Qualification	M.Sc. / M.Tech in Life Sciences with minimum 50% aggregate.
Desirable Experience	2 years of hands-on experience with high-throughput Sanger Sequencing platforms.
Age Limit	35 years (as of 01.01.2026); relaxations applicable per GoI norms.
Salary	Consolidated pay based on qualification, experience, and institutional guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Managing high-throughput Sanger sequencing PCR and cleanup.
Troubleshooting sequencing results and maintaining the platform.
Performing human cell line authentication and genotyping (SSR/STR).
Updating lab SOPs and managing inventory/stock of primers.
Training researchers and internal staff as required.
