IIT Kharagpur, the pioneer of the IIT system, is inviting applications for a Research Associate (RA) position to join a prestigious project funded by the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt. of India. The project, titled “ANW,” involves a deep-dive metagenomic assessment of microbial life and metabolic activities within the polymetallic nodules and sediments of the Central Indian Ocean Basin.
This role is ideal for highly qualified professionals with a background in Pharmacy (M.Pharm) or Biosciences who possess a strong publication record and a passion for microbial ecology and bioinformatics. Beyond the competitive monthly compensation of up to Rs. 58,000, the position offers a unique pathway for selected candidates to register for a PhD program at IIT Kharagpur.
