CSIR-National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI), through its Kolkata Zonal Centre, is inviting eligible candidates for a temporary position of Project Associate-I. This is a single-post vacancy under the project “Navigating the Challenges in Indoor Microbiome Assessment, Its Health Impacts, and Exposure Assessment.”
The role is ideal for postgraduates in Microbiology or Biotechnology, with a last date for applications on September 4, 2025.
Eligibility and Remuneration
- Essential Qualification: An M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Microbiology, or Environmental Science from a recognized university.
- Monthly Emoluments:
- ₹31,000 + HRA for candidates who have qualified for national-level examinations such as CSIR-UGC NET or GATE.
- ₹25,000 + HRA for all other eligible candidates.
- Age Limit: The upper age limit is 35 years.
- Job Requirement: The role involves bio-aerosol sampling, isolation, and characterization using microbiological and molecular approaches. The selected candidate will also be expected to assist with fieldwork, scientific proposals, and manuscript writing.
