The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry, with a proven track record of managing large sales teams and developing effective market strategies. Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
The National Sales Manager will be responsible for driving top-line growth and profitability by leading a team of Sales Managers across multiple zones. The role requires a strong strategic and operational focus, with key duties including:
- Market Leadership: Maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers at hospitals and major accounts throughout India and other sub-continent markets like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Pakistan.
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Developing and implementing a comprehensive sales strategy, analyzing data to align sales efforts, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. This includes setting sales goals, managing budgets, and creating reliable sales forecasts.
- Team Management: Leading, recruiting, and training a high-performing sales team. The manager will conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching and mentorship, and take corrective action when necessary to achieve sales targets.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with the marketing team to develop product, promotion, and merchandising programs. The role also involves collaborating with Human Resources on manpower planning, personnel selection, and employee development.
- Financial Oversight: Administering sales expenses and managing profit margins to meet company objectives.
- EHS Adherence: Promoting and ensuring adherence to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and regulations.
