Baxter Seeks Analytical Scientist for Regulatory Affairs Role in Ahmedabad

Baxter, a global leader in essential medical products, is looking for a qualified Assoc Scientist II to join its New Product Development (NPD) team in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The role is for an Extractables and Leachables (E&L) Subject Matter Expert (SME), focusing on ensuring the safety of pharmaceutical products.

Job Summary & Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this role is to manage the E&L strategy for a diverse product portfolio within the company’s Pharmaceuticals Global Business Unit. The Assoc Scientist will be a recognized expert in analytical chemistry and E&L, responsible for the following:

Project Execution: Executing a wide range of complex projects.
Analytical Expertise: Applying practical and theoretical knowledge of chromatographic (GC and LC) and mass spectrometry techniques to develop and execute non-routine experimental protocols.
Data Interpretation: Collaborating with internal teams to interpret complex analytical data, including structural elucidation and toxicological assessment.
Regulatory Documentation: Authoring and reviewing a variety of technical reports, protocols, and regulatory dossiers, ensuring all data demonstrates the safety of materials used in manufacturing.
Data Management: Ensuring proper data management and organization.

Candidate Profile

Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree: At least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Master’s degree (M.S.): At least 5-8 years of relevant experience.
- Ph.D.: 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Candidates must have a strong technical background in chromatographic techniques coupled with Mass Spectrometry.
Qualifications: A degree in a scientific discipline, such as Life Sciences, Chemistry, or Pharmacy, is required.
Skills: A strong understanding of Extractables/Leachables and regulatory expectations for parenteral drug products is essential. The ideal candidate will have excellent written communication skills, learning agility, and the ability to design experiments and draw meaningful conclusions from data.
