PSACS Recruitment 2025: Contractual Pharmacist Vacancies (2 Posts) under National AIDS Control Programme in Punjab

The Punjab State AIDS Control Society (PSACS) is inviting online applications for the temporary, contractual posts of Pharmacist to be stationed at Anti-retroviral Therapy (ART) Centres across Punjab under the National AIDS Control Programme. The contract is for one year, extendable based on performance.

🎓 Eligibility and Qualification

Category	Requirement
Educational	Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy OR Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institute.
Registration	Must be registered in the State Pharmacy Council.
Essential Experience	3 years of experience for Diploma holders.
Language	Must have passed Punjabi up to Matric standard (10th class) or its equivalent.
Skills	Good working knowledge of MS Office.
Desirable	Candidates from HIV infected and affected as well as key communities are desirable.

Special Provision for ESM (Female) Vacancy:

The reserved ESM (Female) post will be filled following a strict hierarchy if an eligible ESM (Female) candidate doesn’t apply:

ESM (Male-General) will be considered.
If none of the above, the lineal descendant of Ex-Serviceman (General category) will be considered.
If none apply, the post will be filled from the General pool of General category.

📝 Selection Criteria

The selection process involves three stages:

1. Preliminary Test	Computer Typing (30 WPM English) / Knowledge Test	This is a qualifying round (50% passing marks are required). Only candidates who pass this test proceed.
2. Written Examination	100% Weightage (35% minimum passing marks)	Final selection is based solely on the merit of marks obtained in this written test.
3. Document Verification	Mandatory	Must be found eligible before appearing for the computer test.

Written Test Details:

Type: Objective type MCQs.
Language: English.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes.
Negative Marking: No negative marking.
Syllabus: Basics of HIV and Drug, Communication and Patient Management, Stock and Supply Management, and Basics of Pharmacy.

⚠️ Important Instructions

Document Submission: Candidates must fulfill all eligibility requirements on or before the last date (12-10-2025). No extension will be given to submit documents.
Document Verification (DV): Provisionally eligible candidates will be called for DV. Candidates must bring originals and photocopies of all academic, category (issued by Punjab Govt.), experience, age proof, and Punjabi-passing certificates. Failure to produce original or valid documents will result in immediate cancellation of candidature.
Application Details: All particulars, including category, once filled in the online form cannot be modified later. Candidates must exercise due care while registering.
TA/DA: No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Document Verification or the Written Test.
Final Authority: The Project Director, PSACS, reserves the right to cancel or modify the entire recruitment process at any stage.
