The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, invites applications for the temporary post of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) for an ICMR-funded research project.
The project is under Dr. Naresh Sachdeva, Professor, Department of Endocrinology, and focuses on an innovative immunotherapy approach for type-1 diabetes: “Targeting stem-like autoimmune progenitor CD8+ T cells using antagonists against key transcription factors.”

Essential and Desirable Qualifications

| Essential Qualification | First Class Post-graduate degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Immunology, or Biochemistry. OR Second Class Post-graduate degree in the same subjects with a Ph.D. |
| Desirable Experience | Experience in Immunology, Molecular Biology, or Cell Biology with Publications in indexed journals. |
| Preference | Will be given to candidates who have qualified for National Research Fellowship examinations (CSIR-UGC NET/ICMR-JRF/DBT/DST-INSPIRE etc.). |
