The National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB) is recruiting a motivated professional for a project funded by ICAR-NASF.
- Position: Young Professional-II (One Post)
- Project Title: ‘Development and validation of recombinant multivalent porcine viral vaccine and DIVA diagnostics’
- Principal Investigator: Dr. Madhuri Subbiah
- Duration: 1 year starting from January 2026 (renewable based on performance until project completion).
- Salary: Rs. 42,000/- per month (fixed).
Eligibility and Experience
Essential Eligibility
- Post graduates in life sciences relevant to the study area. OR
- Graduate degree holders in relevant Agricultural sciences or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent (as per ICAR OM dated 7th December 2023).
- Upper Age Limit: 45 years.
Desired Experience
Candidates with hands-on experience in the following techniques will be preferred:
- Molecular Biology: RNA/DNA isolations, PCR, QPCR, and cloning.
- Protein Work: Recombinant protein expression.
- Cell & Virus Culture: Hands-on experience in cell culture, virus propagation in cells, virus titration, and in vitro characterization.
