Key Job Responsibilities
The Deputy Manager will be responsible for end-to-end procurement and supply chain compliance, ensuring efficient material flow for both production and retail pharmacy needs.
Core Functions:
- Planning & Sourcing: Develop and implement procurement plans for pharmaceutical products, raw materials, packaging, and consumables. Ensure timely sourcing to meet production/retail demands.
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and empanel reliable vendors/suppliers. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with the Drugs & Cosmetics Act, GMP/GDP, and other statutory norms. Maintain vendor qualification and support audits.
- Inventory & Cost Control: Maintain optimal inventory levels, monitor procurement budgets, and track/analyze spend to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Coordination: Coordinate closely with Finance, Logistics, Production, Quality Assurance, and Stores teams.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation (PO, agreements, inspection records) and prepare periodic reports on cost, lead time, and vendor performance.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements and promote the use of digital tools/ERP systems.
