Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications
Candidates must possess a M.Sc / B.Tech / B.E. in:
- Biomedical Sciences / Biomedical Engineering
- Health Informatics
- Or an equivalent degree in relevant subjects.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience.
- PhD Holders: PhD will be counted as 4 years of experience (regardless of the time taken to complete the degree).
- M.Pharm / M.Tech / M.E / MPH: These degrees are accepted as qualifications but will not count as additional years of experience.
- Retired Govt. Employees: Must have been in Pay Level-10 or above with 10 years of experience in the required specialization.
Key Job Responsibilities
The selected consultant will lead the technical and scientific output of the institute. Key tasks include:
- Evidence Synthesis: Leading systematic reviews and meta-analyses in digital health and AI.
- Scientific Writing: Drafting and managing manuscripts for high-impact indexed journals.
- Grant Management: Preparing competitive grant applications for ICMR, DBT, WHO, and BMGF.
- Digital Health Evaluation: Supporting protocols for AI algorithm validation and diagnostic accuracy.
- Mentorship: Training junior staff in scientific writing and good research practices.
Desirable Skills
- First or corresponding author publications in Scopus/Web of Science journals.
- Proficiency in tools like RevMan, R (metafor), Python, Zotero, and LaTeX.
- Familiarity with ICMR-ePMS and regulatory pathways like CDSCO/MDR for Software as a Medical Device (SaMD).
