Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must possess a M.Sc / B.Tech / B.E. in:

Biomedical Sciences / Biomedical Engineering
Health Informatics
Or an equivalent degree in relevant subjects.

Experience Requirements

Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience.
PhD Holders: PhD will be counted as 4 years of experience (regardless of the time taken to complete the degree).
M.Pharm / M.Tech / M.E / MPH: These degrees are accepted as qualifications but will not count as additional years of experience.
Retired Govt. Employees: Must have been in Pay Level-10 or above with 10 years of experience in the required specialization.

Key Job Responsibilities

The selected consultant will lead the technical and scientific output of the institute. Key tasks include:

Evidence Synthesis: Leading systematic reviews and meta-analyses in digital health and AI.
Scientific Writing: Drafting and managing manuscripts for high-impact indexed journals.
Grant Management: Preparing competitive grant applications for ICMR, DBT, WHO, and BMGF.
Digital Health Evaluation: Supporting protocols for AI algorithm validation and diagnostic accuracy.
Mentorship: Training junior staff in scientific writing and good research practices.

Desirable Skills

First or corresponding author publications in Scopus/Web of Science journals.
Proficiency in tools like RevMan, R (metafor), Python, Zotero, and LaTeX.
Familiarity with ICMR-ePMS and regulatory pathways like CDSCO/MDR for Software as a Medical Device (SaMD).
