The Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), under the Station Headquarters, Chennai, is inviting applications from both Ex-Servicemen and Civilians for contractual Pharmacist positions. These roles are critical for providing quality healthcare services to veterans across various polyclinics.

- Employment Period: 12 Months (Ex-Servicemen) | 11 Months (Civilians).
- Salary: ₹36,500/- per month.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualifications
- B.Pharm from a recognized university.
- OR 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology AND a Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm).
- Registration: Must hold a valid Pharmacy Registration certificate (including current year renewals).
2. Experience & Age
- Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Pharmacist.
- Age Limit: Maximum 56 years.
- Preference: Candidates with a Computer Course Certificate will be given preference.
Application Checklist & Supporting Documents
Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format (available at echs.gov.in) with a passport-size photo and the following documents:
- Identity: Aadhar Card & PAN Card.
- Academic: Marksheets and Certificates (10th, 12th, Diploma/Degree).
- Professional: Valid Registration Certificate & Experience Certificates.
- Medical Fitness: * For ESM: Signed by Medical Officer of dependent Polyclinic.
- For Civilians: Signed by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of a Govt Hospital.
- For ESM only: PPO, Discharge Book, and ESM Identity Card.
Selection Process
- Screening: Applications will be shortlisted by a Board of Officers.
- Examination: Candidates will undergo an Objective Type Written Test on the relevant subject and a practical test.
- Interview: Successful candidates from the test will be informed of the interview date via SMS/Email.
- Final Selection: Based on merit and performance in the interview. No TA/DA is provided.
