
Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU), in collaboration with Dhirubhai Ambani University, is inviting applications for a high-impact research position under the DST–Government of Gujarat sponsored project “Bio-AI for One Health”. This interdisciplinary project sits at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Life Sciences to address health challenges across human, animal, and environmental domains.
Position Details
- Post Name: Research Associate (RA)
- Number of Vacancies: 01
- Stipend: ₹45,000/month (Consolidated)
- Age Limit: Up to 40 years (as of the closing date).
- Duration: Initially for 3 months, extendable until March 2026 (subject to performance and DST-GoG approval).
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field in Life Sciences.
Desirable Expertise
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, R, TensorFlow, or PyTorch. Experience in data preprocessing, model validation, and performance evaluation.
- Domain Knowledge: Hands-on experience with Omics data analysis, multi-modal datasets (clinical, agricultural, environmental), and AI/ML applications like NLP, LLMs, or image analysis.
- Scientific Communication: At least one peer-reviewed publication in a reputed journal and a proven ability to write research proposals and grants.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will work on predictive modeling within the One Health framework, utilizing biostatistics and data visualization tools to interpret and communicate complex scientific findings.
