Vacancy Details & Scope of Work
Position: Scientific Assistant (Outsourced Contract)
- Location: CCE, ACTREC, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai.
- Salary: Consolidated ₹27,690/- to ₹35,000/- per month.
- Duration: Initially for six months, with the possibility of extension based on project performance and institutional requirements.
- Age Limit: Up to 35 years (Relaxation may be considered for highly experienced candidates).
Core Responsibilities:
The role is highly technical and requires precision in handling biological data and samples. Key duties include:
- Biobanking: Managing sample storage and retrieval using Automated Biobank systems.
- Sample Processing: Performing blood sample separation on semi-automated platforms.
- Logistics: Coordinating with various study centers for the safe and regulated transportation of biological samples.
- Instrumentation: Operating high-end ICP-MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry) equipment for elemental analysis.
Eligibility Criteria
The institute is looking for candidates with a strong academic background in biotechnology and allied life sciences.
Educational Qualifications:
- M.Tech / B.Tech in Biotechnology.
- M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Applied Biology, or Microbiology.
Desirable Experience:
While freshers with strong academic records may apply, preference will be given to candidates with at least one year of experience in biobanking, sample transport coordination, or ICP-MS handling.
