
Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, is inviting applications for a Junior Research Assistant (JRA) position in the Department of Botany, MMV. This project, funded by CSTUP, focuses on developing sustainable agricultural solutions using cyanobacterial-microalgal consortia.

Eligibility & Compensation

| Essential Qualification | Master’s Degree in Botany, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Bioscience, Biochemistry, or Environmental Sciences with 1st Division in both Graduation and Post-Graduation. |
| Desirable Skills | Experience in Microbiology, Algal Biology, or Rice plant research. Valid NET/GATE scores are preferred. |
| Monthly Fellowship | Rs. 25,000 (Years 1 & 2 as JRA); Rs. 28,000 (Year 3 as SRA). |
| Age Limit | Max 28 years (as of 01.04.2025). Relaxations apply per GoI rules. |
| Residency | Preference may be given to residents of Uttar Pradesh. |
