The ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Izatnagar, has announced a walk-in interview for the recruitment of project-based research staff. The positions are part of a prestigious ICMR-sponsored project titled “Unifying Health Spheres: Clonal Linkages of Carbapenem-Resistant Acinetobacter in Healthcare and Food Settings and Development of Pen-Side Diagnostic Tool.”
This opportunity is ideal for candidates with a background in Microbiology, Biotechnology, and Life Sciences who wish to contribute to critical research regarding antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and diagnostic innovation.
Vacant Positions and Eligibility
1. Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)
- Vacancies: 01
- Essential Qualification: * Post Graduate degree in Life Sciences (including integrated PG degrees).
- OR 4-year Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Biotechnology.
- Desirable: At least two years of research experience in microbiological techniques (PCR, bacterial isolation, bioinformatics) and a record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Remuneration: Rs. 56,000/- + HRA per month.
- Age Limit: 35 Years.
2. Project Technical Support-III
- Vacancies: 01
- Essential Qualification: * Three-year Graduate degree in a relevant field plus three years of post-qualification experience.
- OR Post Graduate degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Life Sciences.
- OR 4-year B.E./B.Tech in Biotechnology.
- Desirable: Practical knowledge of laboratory techniques like PCR and bacterial identification, along with proficiency in computer data management.
- Remuneration: Rs. 28,000/- + HRA per month.
- Age Limit: 35 Years.

Mandatory Documents for Interview
Candidates appearing for the interview must carry:
- Duly signed biodata and a filled copy of Annexure-I.
- Self-attested copies of all testimonials (Degree certificates from 10th grade onwards).
- Original Certificates for verification.
- Experience certificates and proof of research publications (if any).
- Recent passport-size photographs.
- A No Objection Certificate (NOC) if currently employed in any organization.
Terms of Appointment
These positions are purely temporary and contractual, co-terminus with the project. Candidates may be terminated based on performance or administrative requirements, or they may resign by providing a one-month notice period. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the physical interview.
