CDTL Hiring Junior & Senior Scientific Assistants on Deputation

The Central Drugs Testing Laboratory (CDTL) in Hyderabad, operating under the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation, is inviting applications for the posts of Junior Scientific Officer and Senior Scientific Assistant on a deputation basis. This is an opportunity for eligible government and institutional officers to join a key central government body.

Position Details

Junior Scientific Officer (1 post)
- Pay Scale: Pay Level 8 (Rs. 47,600 – Rs. 1,51,100) as per the 7th CPC.
- Eligibility: Officers holding an analogous post on a regular basis, or with two years of regular service at Pay Level 7.
Senior Scientific Assistant (1 post)
- Pay Scale: Pay Level 7 (Rs. 44,900 – Rs. 1,42,400) as per the 7th CPC.
- Eligibility: Officers holding an analogous post on a regular basis, or with five years of regular service at Pay Level 6.

Common Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification (Essential): A Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Bacteriology, Medicine, Microbiology, or Biotechnology from a recognized university or institute.
Experience:
- Junior Scientific Officer: Four years of experience in drugs testing, standardization, and research.
- Senior Scientific Assistant: Two years of experience in drugs testing, standardization, and research.
Desirable Qualification: A Doctorate degree in any of the above-mentioned subjects.
Age Limit: The maximum age for appointment on deputation is 56 years.
Deputation Period: The deputation period will ordinarily not exceed three years.
