
The Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai, a premier deemed university specializing in chemical science and technology, is inviting applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position. This opportunity is part of a BRNS-sponsored research project under the guidance of Dr. Somen Mondal and is ideal for aspiring researchers with a strong background in chemistry.
Project & Role Details
- Project Title: “Ion transport through Bovine Serum Albumin based self-standing bio-membrane”
- Duration: The project has a duration of one year.
- Job Description: The selected JRF will be responsible for the synthesis, preparation, and characterization of bio-membranes, including carrying out spectroscopy measurements.
- Number of Positions: 1
Eligibility and Compensation
- Educational Qualifications: Applicants must have a Master’s degree in Chemistry with a consistently good academic record. Preference will be given to candidates who have cleared national-level examinations like GATE or CSIR-UGC NET, or the ICT PhD entrance exam.
- Age Limit: The upper age limit is 30 years, with standard relaxations for reserved categories as per government norms.
- Salary: The position offers a consolidated monthly fellowship of ₹37,000. The role can be converted to a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) position with a salary of ₹42,000 per month after two years of satisfactory performance as a JRF.
