Research Fellow Opportunity at NIMHANS TATA-Innovation Fellowship Project

NIMHANS is conducting a walk-in interview for the contract position of Research Fellow (RF) under the prestigious TATA-Innovation Fellowship funded project.

Project Title: “Biomarker(s) validation for Parkinson’s disease with Cognitive impairment in blood serum/plasma of patients and Neurobiological evaluation of their pathogenic potential.”

Principal Investigator: Dr. Phalguni Anand Alladi, Senior Scientific Officer – Scientist ‘G’, DBT-TATA Innovation Fellow, Department of Clinical Psychopharmacology and Neurotoxicology, NIMHANS, Bengaluru.

Post and Duration Details

Post: Research Fellow (RF)
Number of Posts: 01 (One)
Emoluments: ₹31,000/- per month + 24% HRA (HRA is admissible only if not availing hostel accommodation).
Maximum Age Limit: 35 years.
Duration: Initial appointment is for 06 months, extendable every six months until the end of the project (Total duration: 1.0 year or till the funds are sanctioned by the agency).

Essential and Desirable Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

M.Pharm / M.Sc in Neurosciences or Life Sciences from a recognized university, with 60% marks or equivalent grade.
Scholars who have cleared National Eligibility Tests (e.g., DBT/CSIR/ICMR and UGC-NET).

Desirable Qualifications

Experience in conducting animal experiments.
Experience with human blood samples.
Familiarity with techniques such as ELISA/Immunohistochemistry and Western blotting.
Experience in data analysis (preferable).

Nature of Work

The Research Fellow will be involved in various technical and administrative tasks, including:

Designing and conducting animal experiments.
Collecting human blood samples.
Performing ELISA-based estimations.
Data analysis related to the project.
Any other technical and administrative work assigned by the project investigators.

Selection Process: Written test followed by Interview.
