The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Puducherry has invited online applications from Indian nationals for the recruitment of a Pharmacist (Group-C) under its non-teaching direct recruitment drive. This position offers a structured career path with non-functional upgrades to senior grades.
Position Details & Benefits
- Post Name: Pharmacist (Group – C)
- Number of Vacancies: 01 (Unreserved)
- Scale of Pay: PB-1 (Rs. 5,200 – 20,200) with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2,800/-.
- Career Progression: After 2 years of service, incumbents are eligible for a non-functional upgrade to a Grade Pay of Rs. 4,200/- and re-designation as Sr. Pharmacist.
- Probation: 1 year.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following requirements as of the date of application:
- Age Limit: Up to 27 years (Age relaxation applicable as per Govt. of India guidelines).
- Educational Qualifications:
- Option A: 10+2 in Science (PCB/PCM) + 2-year Diploma in Pharmacy (First Class) with minimum 2 years of experience in a recognized hospital or pharmacy.
- Option B: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm).
- Registration: Must be registered as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act 1948.
Selection Process
The selection will be a multi-stage process conducted entirely through digital communication:
- Scrutiny: Online applications will be screened to shortlist candidates.
- Notification: Shortlisted candidates will be notified via the official website and registered email. No hard copies will be sent.
- Stages: The process may include a written test/skill test followed by document verification.
