The Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai—formerly known as UDCT—is inviting applications for a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) position. This role is part of a high-impact project funded by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) focusing on advanced “Lung-on-Chip” technology.
Project Details & Scope
- Project Title: Validation of a Human-Relevant Lung-on-Chip Platform as an Alternative to Animal Models for Preclinical Toxicity Assessment of Monoclonal Antibodies.
- Principal Investigator: Dr. Prajakta Dandekar Jain.
- Objective: Developing an in vitro lung tissue model to validate toxicity studies for monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), reducing reliance on animal testing.
Eligibility & Benefits

| Essential Qualification | Masters in Biotechnology or equivalent. |
| Desirable Experience | Extensive cell culture; experience in 3D culture, microfluidics, bioprinting, or working with mAbs. |
| Fellowship Amount | ₹42,000 + 30% HRA per month. |
| Duration | Initial 6 months (extendable based on performance/funds). |
| PhD Opportunity | Selected candidates may be admitted to the PhD program at ICT Mumbai, subject to institute criteria. |
