BRIC-IBSD Hiring Project Scientist (Bioinformatics) in Collaboration with CDFD

The Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (BRIC-IBSD), Imphal, has announced a collaborative research vacancy with the Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (BRIC-CDFD), Hyderabad. This high-level research position is ideal for candidates specializing in computational biology and multi-omics.

Position Overview

Role: Project Scientist-I (Bioinformatics)
Vacancies: 01
Location: Primarily stationed at BRIC-CDFD, Hyderabad, with coordination with BRIC-IBSD, Imphal.
Remuneration: ₹56,000 + HRA per month.
Duration: Initially for 1 year (extendable based on performance).

Eligibility & Skills

Essential Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or Life Sciences (with a strong Bioinformatics component).
OR Master’s Degree in Engineering/Technology (Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or Biotech).
Proven work experience in R&D, Industry, or Academic institutions.

Desirable Skills:

Experience handling HPC (High-Performance Computing), Servers, or Workstations.
Proficiency in NGS data analysis and multi-omics.
Strong programming skills in Python, R, and Linux.
Experience with molecular docking, simulation, or systems biology.
A strong record of scientific publications.

Age Limit:

Maximum 35 years (Relaxable for reserved categories as per GoI norms).
