InStem Announces JRF Openings for Gates Foundation-Funded Project

The Institute for Stem Cell Science and Regenerative Medicine (InStem) is inviting applications for two temporary positions of Junior Research Fellow (JRF). The positions are part of a project funded by the Gates Foundation, offering a valuable opportunity for qualified researchers to contribute to a significant research initiative.

This is a contractual appointment for a period of eleven months, with the possibility of renewal based on project requirements and performance review.


Position Details and Eligibility

  • Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
  • Number of Posts: 2
  • Maximum Age Limit: 28 years
  • Remuneration:
    • ₹37,000 + 27% HRA for candidates who are NET-qualified.
    • ₹25,000 + 27% HRA for candidates who are not NET-qualified.
  • Essential Qualifications: A Master’s Degree in Life Sciences from a recognized university. Candidates must have at least one year of experience in key laboratory techniques, including molecular cloning, CRISPR/Cas9-based gene editing, human pluripotent stem cell culture, and basic molecular biology.
  • Desirable Experience: Experience in next-generation sequencing and data analysis using programming languages like Linux, R, MATLAB, or Python is highly desirable.
