JRF Opening at IIT Roorkee for a CSIR Funded Project

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee is inviting applications for one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position in a CSIR-funded project. This is a temporary, contractual position in the Department of Chemistry. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work as a full-time research scholar and may also be considered for Ph.D. admission.


Position Details

  • Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
  • Vacancy: One
  • Project Title: “Bioinspired Catalytic Strategies for Small Molecule Activation Relevant to Sustainable Energy and Environment: A Focus on the Nitrogen Cycle.”
  • Project Duration: Three years
  • Age Limit: 28 years. Age relaxation of up to five years is applicable for candidates from SC/ST/OBC categories, as well as women and physically handicapped candidates.
  • Fellowship: ₹37,000 per month

Essential Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, you must have:

  • A B.S. (4-year program), B.Pharm, Integrated BS-MS, M.Sc., B.E., B.Tech, or an equivalent degree in Chemistry or Chemical Sciences with at least 55% marks.
  • A valid NET or GATE score.
