
The Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB) in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, is looking for a Project Associate-I to work on a new research project. This is a great opportunity for M.Sc. graduates in the life sciences to gain hands-on experience in a cutting-edge research environment.
About the Position
- Post: Project Associate-I
- Project Title: “Unraveling the Mechanism of blue light mediated endoplasmic reticulum stress responses in plants.”
- Essential Qualification: You must have a First-Class M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences (Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, etc.).
- Desirable Qualifications: Experience with plant tissue culture, Western blotting, PCR, and microbial culture is a plus.
- Age Limit: Under 28 years as of August 26, 2025. Age relaxation is available for eligible candidates as per government norms.
- Salary (Emoluments):
- ₹37,000 + 16% HRA per month for candidates who have passed a National Eligibility Test (NET).
- ₹30,000 + 16% HRA per month for non-NET qualified candidates.
- Duration: The contract is for one year initially, and it can be extended until the project ends, based on your performance.
