Research Assistant Position at Banaras Hindu University (BHU)

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is inviting applications for a Research Assistant position (JRA/JRF/SRA) in a research project funded by the Council of Science & Technology, Uttar Pradesh (CSTUP). The project is titled: “Investigating the role of candidal Integrin as a Potential target of Cinnamaldehyde and Echinocandins.” This is a purely temporary position, co-terminus with the project’s duration.

Job & Eligibility Details

Post: Research Assistant (JRA/JRF/SRA)
Duration: Three years and/or co-terminus with the project.
Salary (per month):
- Rs. 25,000/- for JRA/JRF
- Rs. 28,000/- for SRA/SRF
Age Limit: 28 years for Junior Research Assistant (JRA/JRF) as of April 1, 2025. Age relaxation will be provided as per CST UP norms.
Essential Qualification / Experience: A first-division in both graduation and post-graduation with one of the following degrees in a relevant field:
- M.Sc. (Ag.)
- M.Sc.
- M.Pharm.
- M.V.Sc.
- B.E./B.Tech.
Desirable Skills / Experience:
- Microbiology lab experience (preferably with fungus culture).
- Molecular laboratory skills (DNA, RNA, and Protein work).

Eligibility: Only Indian citizens who are residents of Uttar Pradesh are eligible for this Research Assistantship under CST, U.P.
