
The CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM), Jammu, a premier institute under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), is inviting applications from qualified and motivated candidates for several project-based positions. These are purely temporary roles under a DBT-funded project (No. BT/PR60955/BME/172/14/2025) titled “Cost-Effective Bioprocess Development and Scale-Up of β-Galactosidase Production Using Dairy liquid waste, with Downstream Recovery and Application in Galacto-oligosaccharide (GOS) Synthesis for Nutraceuticals.”
The project focuses on developing cost-effective bioprocesses for β-Galactosidase production and its application in nutraceutical synthesis.

Note on Stipend: HRA will only be paid if Institutional accommodation is not availed/provided. Eligibility for higher stipend (a) depends on qualifying CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET (incl. Lecturership/Assistant Professorship) or GATE, or National Level Examinations by Central Government Departments/Agencies.
General Terms and Conditions
- Engagement Period: Initially for one year or until the project duration (current duration up to 2 years), extendable based on project requirements and performance. Total tenure shall not exceed six years across all CSIR labs.
- Nature of Position: Purely temporary and project-based, not conferring any right to absorption in CSIR-IIIM/CSIR.
- Age Relaxation: As per Government of India Rules.
- CGPA/SGPA Conversion: Candidates must convert CGPA/SGPA to an equivalent percentage as per their university’s approved formula and upload proof on the Google Form.
- Verification: Original documents will be verified upon selection; discrepancies will lead to cancellation.
- NOC: Candidates currently engaged in other CSIR-IIIM projects must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) before applying.
- Mode of Selection: Interview (in-person). A written examination may be conducted for screening if required. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
