Walk-in Interview: Senior Research Fellow (Pharmacognosy) at Central Ayurveda Research Institute, Jhansi

This opportunity is for a Senior Research Fellow (Pharmacognosy) position at the Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI), Jhansi, under an IMR Research Project focused on developing scientific documentation for Ayurvedic medicinal plants.

Position and Financial Details

Detail	Specification
Post	Senior Research Fellow (Pharmacognosy) – 01 Post
Project Focus	Macroscopic and microscopic atlas preparation of selected plants of Ayurvedic importance
Fellowship	₹42,000/- per month + HRA (Fellowship will be paid as per rules)
Nature of Post	Purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
Age Limit	Not more than 35 years on the date of the interview.

Essential Eligibility Criteria

Candidates with a relevant Master’s degree and necessary experience are eligible:

Educational Qualification:
- M.Pharm in Pharmacognosy / MS in Natural Products / M. Pharm (Ayurveda)
- M.Sc. in Botany / Medicinal Plants from a recognized University/Institution.
Experience: Must have two years of research experience after the Post-Graduate Degree.

Desirable Skills and Experience

Expertise in camera lucida drawings of microscopy.
Sound knowledge of Pharmacognostical techniques.
Skills in drafting and editing scientific documents/reports.
Research experience in projects related to AYUSH drugs.
Publications in peer-reviewed journals.

The selection process includes a written test followed by an interview for candidates who qualify the test, all on the same day.
