CSIR-IMTECH Recruitment: Project Associate-I (PAT-I) for Novel Drug Discovery (Rolling Advertisement)

The CSIR-Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTech), Chandigarh, a premier research institution under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), invites applications for the temporary and contractual position of Project Associate-I (PAT-I) for the project “Towards Discovery and development of novel drug and pharmaceuticals” (Project Code: GAP-0252-20).

Position and Remuneration

			Tier 2: ₹ 25,000/- + HRA

Tier 1 Stipend (₹ 31,000/- + HRA): Applicable for candidates who have qualified any of the following:
- CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship/assistant professorship)
- GATE
- Any other National level examination conducted by Central Government Departments, Agencies, and Institutions (like DBT/DST/ICAR/ICMR NET, etc.)
Tier 2 Stipend (₹ 25,000/- + HRA): Applicable for all other eligible candidates who do not fall under Tier 1.
Age relaxation is provided for reserved categories (SC/ST/PwBD/Women: 5 years; OBC: 3 years) as per Government of India rules.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must hold one of the following qualifications from a recognized university or equivalent:

Master’s/Integrated Master’s Degree in Natural, Agricultural, or Pharmaceutical Sciences / MVSc / Animal Sciences.OR
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology, or Medicine.

Important Notes

Result awaited candidates are NOT eligible to apply for this position.
The engagement is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project’s duration. It does not confer any right for absorption into any regular CSIR/IMTech post.
The number of positions may vary at the time of the selection process.
