Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Life Sciences or Chemistry with at least 60% marks.
OR a PhD in Life Sciences or Chemistry.

Required Experience:

Candidates must have at least 3 years of hands-on experience (post-Master’s) in one or more of the following technology platforms:

Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics
Protein Expression, Purification & Molecular Interactions
Optical Microscopy
Electron Microscopy
Flow Cytometry
Genomics

Scope of Work

Selected experts will be responsible for the high-level technical management of RCB facilities:

SOP Development: Establishing and executing Standard Operating Procedures for sample processing.
Training: Providing hands-on training to PhD students and organizing practical sessions.
Technical Support: Assisting scientists with data acquisition and troubleshooting complex instrumentation.
Maintenance: Liaising with service engineers for equipment upkeep (AMC/CMC) to ensure minimal downtime.
Compliance: Assisting with biosafety and ethical clearances.

Important Terms & Conditions

Nature of Work: This is a Contract for Service, not a regular employment contract.
Selection Process: Shortlisting by a Screening Committee followed by an interaction (Interview), which may be held online.
Availability: The consultant must be available daily during the Centre’s working hours.
Notice Period: Either party can terminate the contract with one month’s written notice.
Empanelment: RCB may maintain a waitlist/panel of experts valid for 12 months.
