
The Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), an Institution of National Importance under the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, is seeking expert consultancy services for its research and academic wing. This role is vital for supporting the i3c BRIC programme, specifically in managing advanced technology platforms.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Life Sciences or Chemistry with at least 60% marks.
- OR a PhD in Life Sciences or Chemistry.
Required Experience:
Candidates must have at least 3 years of hands-on experience (post-Master’s) in one or more of the following technology platforms:
- Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics
- Protein Expression, Purification & Molecular Interactions
- Optical Microscopy
- Electron Microscopy
- Flow Cytometry
- Genomics
Scope of Work
Selected experts will be responsible for the high-level technical management of RCB facilities:
- SOP Development: Establishing and executing Standard Operating Procedures for sample processing.
- Training: Providing hands-on training to PhD students and organizing practical sessions.
- Technical Support: Assisting scientists with data acquisition and troubleshooting complex instrumentation.
- Maintenance: Liaising with service engineers for equipment upkeep (AMC/CMC) to ensure minimal downtime.
- Compliance: Assisting with biosafety and ethical clearances.
Important Terms & Conditions
- Nature of Work: This is a Contract for Service, not a regular employment contract.
- Selection Process: Shortlisting by a Screening Committee followed by an interaction (Interview), which may be held online.
- Availability: The consultant must be available daily during the Centre’s working hours.
- Notice Period: Either party can terminate the contract with one month’s written notice.
- Empanelment: RCB may maintain a waitlist/panel of experts valid for 12 months.
