
The National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad, is inviting applications for the position of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical). This ICMR-funded project focuses on identifying virulence genes of Brucella to develop innovative live-attenuated vaccines for brucellosis, a significant zoonotic disease.
Position Overview
The role involves high-level molecular research under the guidance of Dr. Girish K. Radhakrishnan (Scientist – F).

- Tenure: 1 year (Extendable up to 3 years based on performance).
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should possess strong academic backgrounds and technical expertise in biological research.
- Essential Qualification: * Postgraduate degree (M.Sc./M.Tech/Integrated PG) in any field of Life Sciences.
- For Engineering backgrounds: A four-year graduate degree in Life Sciences.
- Desirable Experience:
- Expertise in Molecular Biology and Infectious Biology techniques.
- Experience in mouse handling.
- Priority: Candidates with experience in Yeast biology or working in BSL-3 laboratory facilities will be given preference.
