CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune, has announced vacancies for Project Associate I & II under the NCIM division. This is a premier opportunity for Pharmaceutical and Natural Science graduates to work at one of India’s largest microbial repositories, focusing on the preservation and identification of industrial microorganisms.

Project Context: NCIM Technical Services

The project, “Technical services: National Collection of Industrial Microorganisms,” involves the upkeep of a massive library of bacteria, fungi, and yeast used in industrial fermentation and drug development.

Qualifications & Skills

Essential: Masters in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Natural Sciences, or Agricultural Sciences; or B.Tech/B.E.
Desirable: Proficiency in Microbial Identification (Morphological, Biochemical, or Molecular methods like 16S rRNA sequencing).
Experience (for PA-II): At least 2 years in R&D or scientific services in industrial/academic institutions.
