
The Centre for Brain Research (CBR), an autonomous research organization located within the prestigious Indian Institute of Science (IISc) campus, is inviting applications for the position of Field Data Collector. Established through a historic philanthropic gift by Dr. Kris Gopalakrishnan and Mrs. Sudha Gopalakrishnan, CBR focuses on cutting-edge research regarding the aging brain and age-associated neurological disorders.
This role is pivotal for CBR’s community-based longitudinal studies, requiring a blend of clinical understanding and excellent interpersonal coordination.
Job Profile & Responsibilities
- Position: Field Data Collector (FDC)
- Location: CBR, IISc Campus, Bengaluru

Core Duties:
- Participant Management: Schedule assessments, make reminder calls, and arrange transportation to facilitate participant visits to the center.
- Field Assessments: Conduct and assist with home-based clinical and cognitive assessments.
- Community Engagement: Organize awareness programs and interaction sessions to build rapport with study participants.
- Operational Support: Ensure continued follow-up with participants and provide administrative assistance to the research team.
Candidate Profile
1. Educational Qualifications
- Essential: Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW), Nursing, or Life Sciences.
- Other clinically relevant postgraduate qualifications will also be considered.
2. Experience & Skills
- Experience: A minimum of two years of relevant field experience.
- Languages: Proficiency in English and South Indian languages, with a high priority on Kannada, is essential for participant interaction.
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours based on the availability and convenience of study participants.
